Importer encountered a generic error, vertical video shot on Google Pixel

I shot some video vertically (I know, I know) on my Google Pixel and now I get the classic error when trying to import it. The video plays fine everywhere else. Here's one of the videos that won't import: Shared album - Corlin Palmer - Google Photos

It's an mp4, 1280 x 720

I appreciate any help. Thanks.

Your phone's camcorder is set up to record at a variable frame rate.

You can convert the video to a constant frame rate using the instructions in my tutorial.

Your video won't, of course, fill your video frame -- but you shouldn't be getting an error when you use Add Media to add a standard video.

Open your video in the free download MediaInfo. Set MediaInfo's View to Tree, then copy and paste the report it generates to this forum.

This will tell us what's inside that file so that we can better advise you how to proceed.

BTW, it will also help to know which version of the program you're using on what operating system. And if you have Quicktime 7 installed on a Windows machine.

Here's what I got. Is variable framerate video a problem? I didn't know the pixel did that. Though I will mention that other videos I've tried from the Pixel import just fine, it's only the vertical ones that are giving me trouble. Again I included a link in my original post to a short video that doesn't import if you want to try it out for yourself.

I'm running Premiere Elements 15 on Windows 10 x64. I do have the latest Quicktime installed.
