Question

improving fidelity of audio

I have a video where the narrator was not very close to the camera and its built-in mike.  I don't understand the various audio filters.  Can anyone suggest ways to lower the echo and "sweeten" the sound?  I am running Premiere Elements 2018 on a Mac.

I would like to give you good news.  I can't.

There is nothing that will make an audio track from a distant mic sound like like a mic placed close to the sound source.  The camera didn't capture the "sweet sound" and it can't be faked into place.
