Hi everyone, I was having enormous difficulties with Premiere Elements 4 so I bought version 7 as it listed mod files as a supported type. Well at least PE 7 is actually seeing the mod files and easily importing them. Unfortunately each file ends up with its own unique error - mostly green pixels showing up in the image randomly or even faces or images from other files suddenly appearing in the middle of a different file. My project will only go for about 35 mins but it is being created from 3.5 hours of footage. Is anyone else having these sort of issues? Is it just to do with the dreaded mod file, or have other people experienced it in other situations? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Stuart
There’s a difference between a DV bridge and plain old capture device or capture card. Capture devices merely digitize your video input to any of number of video formats. DV bridges, on the other hand, are specifically designed to convert any video and audio input into DV-AVI files, the preferred video format for PC-based video editors. (Macs also prefer DV video, although they are saved as DV Quicktime files rather than AVIs. The video data content, however, is identical.)DV bridges range from relatively inexpensive to high-end professional devices with time base correction and other video optimizers. The best value on the market in DV bridges and a Muvipix recommended “best buy” is the Grass Valley Canopus AVDC, a favorite of many videographers and available online for under $200. This great device can is a great value if you plan to edit a lot of video from non-DV sources.Another great device is ADS Pyro AV Link, which is discontinued but can still be found for under $150 obnline. Premiere Elements 8 First Look: Part 1.Photoshop Elements 8 and Premiere Elements 8 are now installed on my Windows XP SP3 with about available 1 GB RAM and 70 GB free hard drive space and the virtual memory controlled by the operating system…not great for a heavy duty project, but adequate to overview the programs.1. Download & Installation. Both programs took about 3 ½ hours to download, using high speed DSL. Premiere Elements 8 downloaded and installed without problems. Installation went much quicker. But, Photoshop Elements 8 download did present challenges, first, it kept downloading Premiere Elements 8 instead of Photoshop Elements 8. Finally in the early hours of the morning, the download from the Adobe site was named Photoshop Elements 8. Great, except, once downloaded it would not launch. The launcher did not know what to do with the .7z file. Download and use of WinZip took care of that. My default browser Mozilla Firefox was worthless for the download of either Pho
http://www.freewebs.com/pe3help/transportereffect.htm Don't know where I'd use it, but I'm certain someone can think of an application. Anyway, it fun creating it. I'm still working on the how-to part though.
If this has been covered and explained, please just point me to answer.I get this when I add a transition in between two media clips. I have two previous transitions that worked fine.
AVCHD UpShift, from NewBlue, convert AVCHD (hi-def MP4) to more standard HD-mpeg (hi-def MPEG .m2t), a format that is both more universally editable and which demands significantly less system resources.http://www.newbluefx.com/avchd-upshift.html The product sells for $49.95. Another solution that will convert your AVCHD to formats more easily edited on a PC with no loss quality. http://www.shedworx.com/voltaichd Note, of course, with any conversion, your output files will be much larger, so allow for that extra hard drive space. It sells for $34.99.More information on the why's and how's of converting video for Premiere Elements can be found in my article "Converting Video for Premiere Elements", free from Muvipix.com.
I have Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 and I want to end a video with the effect of it looking like it goes to a TV screen of static with that sound. Is there any possible way to do that???
I'm using Premiere Elements 7. I discovered after burning my slideshow that the photos flicker on the TV screen, which looks horrible. The FAQ says you can try and reduce this using flicker removal, but when I right-click on the pictures, "Field Options" is grayed out. Does anyone know why this is, and/or how to make it a selectable option? And do I really have to do this with every individual photograph? Also, the menu flickers as well (it's a still photo)... is there any way to address that? If it matters, the TV being used is standard def. I'm shocked that this is even an issue... I just assumed that any half-decent slideshow software should be able to correct this sort of problem automatically.
Hi, My first time on the forums. I wanted to know if it is possible to separate audio from video, (that is, using Premiere Elements) from digital video files various formats. My purpose is to create .wav and/or .mp3 sound files, by starting with .avi or other video+sound sources (my own, no copyright problem). Can Premiere Elements do this, and if so, how? I have my own music performance films which were made as films not for the video but because the digital sound quality was so good, but I would like to be able to get the sound out, re-save it as sound files without the video, and then re-use it as background soundtracks for some new video projects. Any ideas? My e-mail is jgibsosman@sbcglobal.net if someone has an answer and can write directly, with a subject line like "Re Premiere Elements Question" or something; also, I will check back here, but am new and unfamiliar with the forum so e-mail instructions would be fine with me. Thanks.
