Keep getting ERROR label when trying to burn to blu ray disc

I have been trying over and over again to burn an approximately 50 minute long project to a blu ray disc. Near the end of the encoding process, to create a disc image, an error label appears on the lower left side of the Export & Share window that displays the progress of the encoding. Usually, it reaches 99% finished and then it abruptly stops with an error label. There is no reason given. I have re-started the application several times, but the same issues occurs. I have had this problem before, but after a few tries it finally creates the image, and I can burn to a disc using another software package. There are no special effects in this project. I use Windows 10 Pro. I use Premiere Elements 14. Some help appreciated. This is getting frustrating.

And once again, do NOT place a stop marker at the end of your video! That is one of the leading causes of disc burn issues.

The program will automatically return the viewer to your main menu after your movie without your adding a marker.

Okay, I'll take your advice, but  just to let you know, I did have a stop marker this last attempt and somehow it worked. Thanks for your help!

Do you have a stop marker at the end of your project timeline? (You should never have one at the end of a project)

Do you have a gap in your timeline that does not include video?

What model of camcorder is your video coming from and what format and resolution is the video?

If you look under the Edit menu, what settings are listed on the General page under Project Settings?

What processor does your computer have and how much RAM? How much free, clean, freshly defragmented space is on your hard drive?

I have a stop marker at the end of my video project, not at the end of the timeline. I thought you were supposed to put one at the end of the project so the playing stops when the video is over.

No.

What model of camcorder is your video coming from and what format and resolution is the video?

Sony Handycam HDR-CX430, Frame rate 60i, REC Mode: Highest Quality FX., Image size: 8.9 Mega pixels.

If you look under the Edit menu, what settings are listed on the General page under Project Settings?

Can't use the edit function now because I'm trying the encoding again using the "disc" selection instead of the ISO image selection to see if that makes any difference.

What processor does your computer have and how much RAM? How much free, clean, freshly defragmented space is on your hard drive?

Intel(R) core(TM) i7-4710 HQ CPU @ 2.50 GHz , 2.49GHz.

RAM: 24 GB

I have several hard drives all with at least 59 GB of space. Most have over 100 GB of space. Not sure about the defragmentation.

NOTE: Right now the disc is actually burning. The encoding is finished, so let me see what happens. I'll let you know.

Thanks!

Well,, it finally burned using the "disc" option. I don't know why I was getting those errors using the ISO image method, but I would like to be able to save the ISO images. Does this method produce better quality videos than the direct "disc" method or are they the same? Thanks!

When it crashes that late in the process, it's usually the burn itself that's gone buggy.

Are you able to create an ISO image of your BluRay rather than burning directly to a disc?

I haven't been burning directly to the disc. I have been using the default selection ISO Image (25 GB). It never got to the actual burning process. No I haven't been able to create the ISO image. That's the problem. Thanks for replying.
