trying to place and fine position cropped video clips into the frame.

ctrl alt  with up down right, left

should nudge the selected clip into position.
they do nothing as far as I can tell.
how else to do it?

help?

It's not clear if you're trying to fine tune the position of the clip on your timeline or fine tune your crop setting.

But if you zoom into your timeline, you can get frame-by-frame precise with your positioning.

I have anywhere from 1 to 10 video clips assembled into one output image.
the video is 12 layers deep.
editing time is easy.
mechanical assembly of many images is not,
even on a 27 inch monitor.

say I have 4 clips cropped into 1 final video, quarters of the screen.
when I see a small position error of one of the cropped images,
what I really want to do is move the cropped image into position.
but often the movements are very small, several pixels,
and the 'nudge ' concept sounded like the was to go.

is there a way to move the parts of the image, nudge them into position?
also, is there a way to nudge the crop lines?

the ketboard shortcuts- Ctr Alt with arrows. help says they nudge on the monitor.

are they real,
and what do the nudge by pixels?
