Keyboard shortcuts for 'Mark In' and 'Mark Out' missing from Adobe Premiere Elements 2025

Hello Editors, I have recently upgraded from Adobe Premiere Elements 2015 to 2025 and I can see there are some great enhancements in this version. For some reason I'm unable to assign keyboard shortcuts to 'Mark In' and 'Mark Out' buttons of Source Monitor. The default 'I' and 'O' keys don't work. I couldn't find 'Mark In' and 'Mark Out' in Keyboard Customisation option. I have looked into some community discussions and they are having the same problem with Premiere Pro, not Premiere Elements. I tried some of their suggestions but nothing worked. Hoping to get some help here otherwise I might have to return this software and ask for refund. I cannot imagine editing without this keyboard shortcut. Thanks.

Unfortunately, this is a known issue.

Thanks Ann for your response. I'm returning the software. It's impossible for me to edit hundreds of clips with a mouse. This keyboard shortcut is something I have used extensively in the 2015 version. Its silly they forgot to add it in the 2025 version.

You can trim clips on the timeline with Q and W.

Ripple trim previous edit to playhead - Ripple trim next edit to playhead

Shift Q and Shift W will extend

Ctrl+Alt+W / Q will just trim.

Look them up in the KBSC.

If this is the dealbreaker, I guess you're going to have to ask for a refund. I can find no shortcut keys for marking In and Out points in Premiere Elements 2025.

This is shocking to me. A brand like Adobe, a product like Premiere and someone forgot to put this keyboard shortcut 🙂 How do they expect editors to edit clips? With a mouse? No way. I'm returning it and asking for refund. Thanks Steve for your reply.
