keyframes in peremier elements 15

Just got premiere elements 15. I've not edited video for 15 years [!] & the software has changed a bit!. I want to apply effects e.g. colour changes gradually to a clip using keyframes. Tutorials online don't help Guided edit doesn't cover it. Can somebody help here, or direct me to a site where I can check such things in words of one syllable? [& Yes - I bought Elements for Dummies but it's out of date so doesn't show the GUI of Premiere 15]

Thanks in hope

So the only answer to this question is 'buy a book'?  Sorry, but in what universe does that mean the original poster's question is 'correctly answered'.  Now it shows up on Google as a solution to this problem, and just wastes people's time!

When someone says tutorials and the program's help doesn't help them and they want a simple explanation, yes. The reason the answer is marked correct is because it apparently answered the original poster's question to his satisfaction.

If you've got a different question, we're glad to supply a different answer.

+1 for Steve's book.  The nice thing about Steve's books is that you don't need to read them from the beginning (although you might want to). You can search through them using the table of contents in the front or the index in the back and find what you need help with.

Since you asked...

How about my "Muvipix.com Guide to Premiere Elements 15"? They don't get any simpler (and yet more thorough) than it!

The books are available from Amazon.com.

Ah! No self intereest, of course! I've looked at the preview pages online - & I think you might be right. Sorry not to support your pension fund, but I've found one second hand for 15 quid.  Oops! & Thanks!
