Latin Characters in Titles

When creating titles, how do you insert accented characters common in Spanish and French?

Normally my Mac allows me to hold a key down and a list of options appears. Or, I can click on the Keyboard Viewer on my Finder Menu Bar and find the appropriate Latin character.

How is this done? Thanks.

Actually I think Macs use something called and Extended Keyboard Code set. Similar concept but different keyboard combinations.

On a Windows computer there is a "Character Map" application.  It covers every character and symbol in a font that does not have a keyboard button.  I think it is called "Character Viewer" on a Mac.   If it is the same, you open the app, select a character, copy it and then paste it into the title.   No, not convienent, but it works.  The other option might be to reinstall Premiere Elements in the language you want to use.   I even got it to work here on this forum!  " Ñ "

There are also the "Alt Keycodes"

On my Windows computer, I can hold the Alt key and type 0241 on the numeric keyboard.  It does not work on the number keys on the top row.   Holding "ALT" and typing 0241 yields the " ñ ".   It works in the Premiere Elements title tool.

I think to use alt codes on Mac computers, you use the Option key instead of the Alt key.
