Hi

I want to separate the bright sky from the dark landscape to show the sky darker and the landscape without haze.

I tried keying, but no success
Which track has to be keyed with what key? (Chroma, lightness?)
Where do I place the background video?

Adobe Premiere elements 2019 latest version

W10 64, nivida geoforce 3060, 16 GB

video (small version)

video.mov

Thank you

Have you tried the Shadow/Highlight effect? It's designed to help correct these high contrast situations.

Beyond that, you'll probably need to work with a more advanced program, like After Effects, to do this kind of re-compositing.

Keying out the sky is only going to work if the sky is a smooth, even color of blue with no clouds.

Thanks - that's what I was afraid of.

Do you see another possibility to separate dark from lightful parts or is this only possible in pro?
