Merging two project into one

Apologies for a naive question; I am new to Premiere Elements and I am trying to learn on the fly. I have a project which is a video of my father and another project which is a video of my grandmother. I would like to create one DVD for my mom which is a combination of both. How can I do this?

Export each project and then import the exported videos into a new project.

You can add new edits, but won't be able to change existing edits.
