Video shot on Sony 4K Camera

Using Premier Elements 2018 to edit

Trying to merge JPEG Photos shot on a variety of Cameras - none of which are 4K  - including Mobile Phone Camera but Elements is refusing.

Error Message says Metadata is not compatible and has been discarded meaning job will not render/export to USB stick.

Can anyone offer a solution on how to either change the metadata to an acceptable specification of otherwise have Elements ignore?

Grateful for any help as photos are really important to finished Video.

Thanks in advance.

If you're trying to load the JPG files directly onto the Timeline, do this instead.

    1. Drag JPG file into Project Assets

    2. Move video to position to make room for image OR cut and clear where you want the still shots to go.

    3. Drag the JPG from the Project Assets to the position you want it on the Timeline above the Video or insert on the same line as the video if you've cleared a space for it.

In general, it's easier to first drag all video and image files to the Project Assets window before putting everything together.

Thanks but basically that is what I have been doing except I gave been

inserting the puc in the same timeline as the video so I will try using

seperate timeline for the stills and see what happens.

    Many thanks

So it sounds like you're saying that you're having trouble loading photos into your project.

What is the resolution of these photos?

Try resizing them to no larger than 2500 pixels wide and 1875 pixels tall.

There is a maximum size photo threshold in Premiere Elements.
