Mic Source button and mic sensitivity level

I was trying to do a voice narration with my realtalk headset with music playing in background. I have followed the procedure as  for how to 's in create narration.

But my mic source button does not allow me to click it open to determine which mic Iam using also the mic sensitivity level does not move when I speak. Please tell me how to troubleshoot the problem. I have adobe flash player updated version installed and working, my headset, works and speakers as well. I am using Adobe Premiere element 14 and I have Windows 10.
