Moving Files On My Computer (After Importing them in Premier Elements)

Hello,

I have what I think is a silly question. I've made a few movies in PE v15 (on a Mac).  After I exported the movies I decided to do some file clean up on my computer (moving video clips to folders).  Now when I open the movie in PE, the clips don't show up.  Is that because I've moved them?  The final rendered and exported movie is still fine.

Do the clips have to stay in the same place on your computer.  Doesn't make sense to me.

    BTW, this is how ALL video editing programs work.

    Yes.

    When add media to your project, you are actually just linking to the media files on your computer. Once those files are moved and removed, the project will not be able to find them.
