mp4 files imported to premiere elements are shown with strange black backrounds

Hi there, some of my files, recorded with iPHONE, are with black Background as soon as i Import them to premiere elements (10). I use Windows 10. Do I have to upgrade to Premiere Elements 15? Has anyone the same Problems?thanks for helping. dominic
