Question

My AMD Radeon PRO GPU is no longer supported?!

Greetings to all,

I'm a Premiere Elements 2021 user...

Recently, I noticed "Show Audio View" is unstable.  Not showing any audio waves in the timeline and the "Master" volume indicator shows many more tracks than I'm currently using (even after deleting all unused tracks).  After looking into "Preferences" I noticed that my GPU (AMD Radeon PRO W7500) is now no longer supported(?!)  Tried removing and reinstalling the software, to no avail...

So, what gives?  Never had this problem before...

All Best,

Jake

Hi Everyone who comes across this issue,

Strangely enough, my GPU is now recognized again.  Go figure....  On second thought, don't bother....

And the problems with the audio tracks are resolved by making sure my playback device is configured to "Stereo".  This is important as my device was configured by default to "Dolby Surround".  A big hint, is when you see "5.1" in the audio track all the way to the left-hand side of the window.  Aparently, all audio used in Premiere Elements must be recorded in stereo to avoid this issue.  Well, that about wraps this up!

I hope you find this information useful, and be well!

All Best,

Jake
