Narration randomly freezes when recording

I have a decked out windows machine, but randomly when recording narration, Premiere Elements freezes losing my progess.  This is extremely painful and keeps happening when I least expect it.  I try to think to save after every edit because I never know when it will strike.  Anyone else have this issue and know anything to try?

Which version of the program do you have on what operating system?

 

Which processor do you have and how much RAM?

 

What is the resolution and frame rate of the video you are editing and what device recorded it?

Sorry for the late reply, I finally broke down and got Premiere Pro and most of the issues went away.  I have an i7 64gb ram, 3080 card.  Was having the issue no matter what resolution.
