Need help with titles and effects

Question

I have an older version, Premiere Element 4 so I hope someone can still help me.

I made a video abut 10 years ago in which I applied effects to the title. I am making another now in which I wish to have the same effect but it seems to have vanished. It is a spin for individual words in the title. http://www.reichmeisterrotts.com/kids.html You can see what I mean here.

Also, I put in a transition between the title page and the first clip but it carries the title over onto the first clip for a few seconds. It does not do that without the transition but I can't find a way to completely remove a transition, only to replace them.

You can do that manually with keyframes.

Try right clicking it and choose "delete" or highlighting it and press the delete key.
