2 serious beef with this latest upgrade.

1) Why do we have to deal with the horrible welcome screen to get to PE or PS. Just what everyone needs - extra clicks. This screen needs to be taken out and burned.

2) Why does PE put subdirectories all over the place and then not clean up after itself??? Further, where to find the file location preferences now???

PE & PS need to clean this mess up. It gets more convoluted and more USELESS with every upgrade. THINK USER FRIENDLYNESS AND PRACTICALITY over all this AI bull.

1. You dont need to use the welcome screen. Just click on the icon in the taskbar or go to your project folder and double click on the name of your project.

2. All directories are in one place: the same as the project.

Default is Documents / Adobe / Premiere Elements, but you chance change that to any location.

If you open an autosave then the first thing you do is rename the project and put it in your main project folder.

Yes, but that isn't quite what I'm finding. Adobe is add subds in mydocuments called Adobe, Analyzer cache files, media cache, medica cache files, peak files & thumbnail cache. WHY? This worked fine on my old workstation. Buy a new one, reinstall, and things go wonky. Kinda crazy. Thank you.

1 - I have links that go direct to the programs (my version is 2021)
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2021\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 2021\PremiereElementsEditor.exe"
.
2 - In Expert mode I set my locations that are then used for all projects
YOUR locations will be set according to your installed drives
I set my project and work files to F:\???
(Where F:\??? is an actual name created on my F drive with File Explorer)
(F is MY drive for temporary files, your drive letter may be different)
I work in EXPERT view to be able to control every aspect of my project
Click EDIT and then PREFERENCES and then SCRATCHDISKS
I set every one of the project options to F:\Adobe
PrE then automatically creates sub-folders as needed
F:\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements Audio Previews
F:\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements Captured Audio
F:\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements Captured Video
F:\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements Video Previews
F:\Adobe\Encoded Files
F:\Adobe\Layouts
F:\Adobe\Peak Files
