No audio from file

Hi all,

I bring in a clip, any clip, MTS, MP4, MOV and when I bring it into the timeline, I don't hear anything.

Wave forms are there in the audio section of the timeline.  And if I play the audio in any other player like VLC or WMV, I can hear it.  

Does anyone know why I can't hear the audio?
