No sound Macbook Pro Catalina

Migrated Premiere Elements and files to new Macbook Pro 13 running Catalina. Set audio output to Macbook Pro Speakers. Set input to No input (or Macbook microphone). .prel file plays back fine on my old Macbook, but on the new one, no sound is heard. Master audio display show audio levels happening. Other programs will play audio fine. Any ideas? Thank you!

Adobe Online Support had no solution for this problem (no audio from Premiere Elements on Catalina). Solution for me was to acquire Final Cut Pro, which apparently works fine with audio.

What version of Premiere Elements?   If new, you have access to online support from Adobe where they can remotely troubleshoot your system.  Go the the Help menu and pick Online Support.  There is an icon in a circle at the lower right corner that will start a "chat".

Premiere Elements 2020, v18.0.  I will try the online chat again perhaps during the week when I have more hours to wait for responses. Thanks!
