NTSC setting on Elements 16

Question

I have exported my video to DVD but it will not play in my newer DVD players. I am wondering if the output is set to NTSC or PAL; I am not given a choice and since my players only allow NTSC I'm wondering if the output is PAL and that's why it won't play - how do I set this? The only format choice that shows up is Format: MPEG Frame Rate: 25. I cannot alter these settings.

When you start a project it sets NTSC or PAL. You can do it manually at the New Project screens or automatically by putting a primary clip on the timeline. It is not changed at output.

My guess is that since you have only a 25 fps choice at output you have somehow set up your project as PAL. You may also have a Country/Region setting that is off.

DVDs have become ancient due to there tube TV resolution. They are awful. Do you have other playback choices?
