Obscure Timestamp on video

Hi

Not sure if this is possible... but will ask just in case!

I have an old video of family and in the bottom corner it has the date stamp.

I want to cover the date stamp so it is not visible (but have the video astill playing).  Is there any way to obscure it?

Many thanks!

Adding to Bob's and John's suggestions, you can make a title with a black background to cover up the timestamp.   Alternately, you can make a "Color Matte" and size it to cover the timestamp.

Depending upon how large and how close to the edge the date stamp is, you may be able to zoom in and have it out of view.

I have never done this, so this link may not help... but PIP (Picture in Picture) to cover that may work

This is OLD, so it may not help
