Old Renderings

I've been doing this process for years/decade(?) (only 1 at least).

Older version of Elements I don't want to mention. I want to see what kind of answer I get

I shoot original at 1920x1080, 1440 or 1080 would be fine. Based on objects not people.....maybe a hand or 2 here and there.

GIFS better answer. So much so I don't want to stop....Elements Text (my version boo!! - typos were a nightmare, even changes same).

Transparent GIFS in the videos(4-5 typical):  date, time, address, very cryptic location or explanations, etc. on the review and final.  I can create a few GIFs mostly used "as is" on most files then a few specific ones as needed.

A review process occurs of the 10-15 videos.....sometime endless modifications changes combining of videos. Date wrong, location wrong OR a reuse for new date and time. Maybe videoes get canceled/ combinted.....Fun is.

Review Process: For overall flow, detail(not quality, more subject/ content) and does the video tell the story of whats going on with the objects? NO Audio, and extremely little ever required. Everybody involved fine AOK with all these during review.

Smaller files for Review ALWAYS easier more fleixble quicker, more of them / more assignments, etc. Even with the online services and the crazy storage sizes/ options now. Probably due to culture and personalities involved as well.

Problem: When I render the review vidoes at 720 (for smaller size) the GIFs will not be the same as they are on the time line. They are not locked. It is almost as if the GIFs are still in the same position as my Element project of 1920x1080. The video is appropriate but, the GIFs are way off in what now is dark space. Typically the GIFS would be at the bottom or top(left and right corners) of the video. Sometimes to document a particular feature or step they might be in the middle or somewhere on the screen with a little "->" notation. Well then in this case the notation is now way off like pointing at someone's hand 🙂 I have read other video editors have options that exist to lock gifs to frame size? Never heard of that in Elements or Pro.....and I can use Pro but Elements has just been so much easier with this. Never tried this project with Pro.

Can someone convince me that a newer verson of Elements or Pro will be able to lock or unlock(as the case may be) GIFS in this situation? Never tried much of this with Pro is that the answer?

I would prefer creating the final vidoes at 1920 x 1080. The hope is this work might expand some day into other subjects and keeping that "original" resolution might be my technical stubbornish showing....I will admit.

PS: I've attempted to "manage" 1920 version of projects in Elements, and 720 version of projects in Elements - crazy was.....(changes, re-reviews, typos, new main videos, etc. etc.). I would almost go back to the manual entries using the Text feature in Elements.....but not. Usually I wind up repositioning the GIFs but even that is bending the 99th hair on my derriere at this point.
