On my new Mac

The files were not huge in respect to their media size, they were visually huge. And they only got huge when I stacked them, and tried to edit them into one. After trimming, I grabbed the piece to add to make one single file. The "splice" has to be added accurately so that I can then add a transition to the front and back of the file. Because to visual size of the screen gets larger, I cannot see where to add the splice.

I just embarked on computers in 1998, should have taken it in college. I'm 65 now and my computer word choices may not be accurate enough for you. So let me try again: I do not use multi-cameras with the Premiere Elements 11, I use media from multi cameras. I edit the media that is generated by the cameras. I can in fact rip videos both sound and picture and edit the media into a show and have done so with Elements 11. I appreciate your attempts to help me, but you may not be familiar with video editing. I know this could be the Macbook Pro or the Adobe program. There is probably a simple fix. Am still working on it, thanks!

I'm using Adobe Premiere Elements 11. It is an editing program for videos. You can edit one or multiple cameras. I am eding two. I laid down the main camera track and cut it up to splice the second track (camera) into it. Yes, I do this on my iMac. I have no troubles with my iMac. But on the Macbook Pro which I got in December 2017, it will not work. When I edit tracks, I splice openings, then put the video from the other camera in the right spots. I call this dragging which it essentially is. I cannot be accurate when the whole view expands off the board or time line or area I need to see the same size, not magnified larger. The timeline does not change but the content does, when my computer allows me to.

The current program has the issues. The older Apple iMac runs fine. I'm trying to transition to the new one because it is easier to transport.

When I edit on the timeline, I cut from one camera and edit in another scene from a second camera. I drag the piece I want to add into the timeline where I cut. That's how I normally do it however on my new MacBook when I try to drag the clip into place, the whole timeline magnifies, and I cannot accurately see where to put it!
