M2T files will not show in a new project, while in my previous version 2019 they did show up?

What is happening here?

The 15 year old system of AVCHD/MTS/MT2S/Blu-Ray/5 Channel audio got chewed up in a legal tangle a couple years ago.

I can't get an online chat this way.

And going back to a four years old version is not a solution
