PE 2025 Windows 11 - combining PE files

I now need to combine three video files.  Is this possible?  How do I export them so that I can add them to my "media" and thus use them in another piece?  I know how to export files to make them viewable on computers or the internet etc.  But I need to import one PE file into another PE file.

thanks

Helen

That is the way to go. The 3 video files you import them into your (new or existing) project and put them on the timeline. Then export as a new video file.

You can in 2025/2026 but you have no control over what is imported: it imports all the source files but not the edited timeline. So that is no good.

A video file or movie file is not the same as a PE file which is the project itself.

You can't import one project file into another.

You can export a movie and then import that movie into a project, but you won't be able to change any existing edits.

I don't need to change any existing edits.  I can't see how to get the file in there?

thanks

I may not be understanding the question.

One way to look at it is that your three videos are not "in" you project.  They are referenced by the project when you add media to a project.  More importantly, they are not changed by editing.  They are used, not changed.   So, the same files can be referenced by another project, even many projects.   In other words, in the "other place" project you can use the three over again.

The other way is to do as Bob says.  If want to keep the editing adjustments you made to your original three files, you export the results of your project to a video file of the same specifications as your original.  That new video can then be included as media in any other project and it will include all your editing.   You get "the file in there" by adding the newly output video as source media.
