PE2021 - Contrast and Sharpness - strange behaviour.

Premiere 2021

 

Two problems:

 

1. Contrast

 

There are at least two ways to change contrast in APE

a. In Adjustments. Work as I expected.

b. In Effects. Works differently and it basically changing the brightness, not contrast. It look very strange to me.

 

2. Sharpness. It seems that sharpness slider is ‘very aggressive’. Most of the setting are almost useless (within the full range) since the sharpness is too aggressive. This is not something I would expect. Besides, quality of sharpness and lack of additional setting is disappointing.

Can some user of APE2021 check if contrast and sharpness work in the same way as I've shown in that video (first post)?

    This is a user group.  If you post is a complaint or suggestion to Adobe programmers, they aren't here!  If you have a question about how Premiere Elements works, what is it?

    The fact that people from Adobe support aren’t here is very strange. This is official Adobe forum as far as I know and when posting here users need to add a tag. There are tags such as “Feature request” and “Error or problem”. I used the second one. So users are encourages to post here about feature request and error and Adobe ignores it..... Very strange and difficult do understand. From what I have seen number of new post on this forum is very small so Adobe wouldn't need to allocate significant resources for that task. Anyway.... It is not my company 😉 😉 .

     

    At this stage my question is: I’m wondering if that behaviour of APE2021 in relation to contrast and sharpness the same on other user’s computer or only on my one?

     

    Those are very fundamental options. Nothing which has been introduced recently
