Hi,

I am recording some training videos, can I record myself and have photos scrolling behind me without using a green screen?

If the background is a solid color: yes. You can key the color out.

If not the answer is no.

Yes. You put the scrolling photos on video track one. Then you can put the selfie on video track two and reduce the scale so you are in a small box "above" the main track.
