Picture freezes and are slow in PRE 2020

I just downloaded the premiere Elements 2020 and can`t get the editing to flow on my computer.

When editing short video the picture laggs and freezez. Altso after i render parts of it. 

My computer is a Ryzen 2400G 3,2 GHz, 32 GB of ram, SSD disk on programs and Sata on storage.

The videocard is geforce GTX 1650, whit the latest drivers. Someone has a god ideea? what to do?

Thanks for sharing the system details. Performance can get affected because of many reasons which include system hardware specifications, media file properties, project's complexity, etc. In addition to the questions asked by the experts above, I'd like to know:

 

  • Which effects have you used in your project?
  • Does it happen with every project?
