PLEASE HELP How to use all cores on AMD CPU when exporting.

exporting 4k video

adobe is only using 53% of CPU

all cores being used none at max

peak single core usage 79%

lowest single core usage 27%

36/256gb ram used

0% GPU (accelerated turned off since this makes export slower)

accelerated turned on export time 49min 21% CPU and 43% GPU

CPU only (acelerated off) 31min

PBO on for Ryzen master clocking 4.00ghz stable

GPU overclock when tested +150 core clock +200 mem clock max power msi afterburner

i want to use 100% of my cpu and get each core up to 100% usage if possible i imagine i can cut this export time down to the real time length of the video since the video im rendering is only 15 minutes.

gpu 4090 fe

ram 3200mhz g skill 256gb

mb trx40 pro 10g

os windows 10 pro

adobe premiere elements 2023

Your system is as fast as the weakest link. Your bitrate is set to 112 that is very high.

and your hard drives are usb.

My export UDH 60 mbps

My system peaks to 100% all 16 threads and all local drives.

My workspace is on my ssd read/write = 3.5gb/s 3gb/s respectively. I only store and sort on the usb storage no editing if i can avoid it

Is your media that you used in the project on the SSD drive or the USB drives?

FWIW my WIN10 PC has a AMD Ryen 5 3400G CPU with 32 GB RAM & a 1 TB SSD.

When rendering (exporting) with PE 2021 I see all 8 threads going pretty much flat out.

I can't tell from your post where you keep you files. As you know, video files are big, espessially 4K video. Every frame from your source files have to be read with the intructions you've created in the project and then new frames have to be constructed in the output file. The time to read and write is determined by the disks themselves and the speed of buss that connects them.

Steve is right. There is nothing in Premiere Elements that will do what you want. You might find improvements if you change your drives or drive configuration.

It used to be that video editing computers would be constructed with a drive for the program and project files, a drive for the source media and a drive for the output. Now it seems that we get good results by putting all of it on a veery fast internal SSD with lots of spare space. I'm guessing because I've never tried it, but it may be that multiple internal SSDs might remove "bottlenecks" to your CPU.

thank you im using one ssd ill just fill up the slots on the motherboard with the fastest ssd i can find and then dig out that expander z thing that came with the board to add some more hopefully this works ive been meaning to fill up all the internal slots anyhow so thanks again even if it isnt the solution lol ill let you know
