PRE 2021 burn DVD with higher than 720x576 resolution

I add an mpg file.  I select and share.  If I select "Disc" the highest setting is 740x576, frame rate 25.  If I select "Devices" I get better choices.  I choose a file name "Summer 2022.  I hit Save and after a while, Save Complete.  As far as I can tell, all this does is create an mp4 fie named "Summer 2022."  What steps should I follow after I have added an mpg clip if I want to burn it to a movie DVD?  I do not need a menu or titles, although that would be nice.

The size of the file is not the problem... you may NOT write some thing to a DVD that exceeds the specifcation

To write a 1080 video to a disc it must be a BluRay not a DVD

When you select DVD as the output the program will reduce the RESOLUTION of the file to fit on a DVD

Click the DVD specification link I posted and read

John is right. DVDs are, by definition, 720x576 (PAL) and 720x480 pixels in resolution. There's no such thing as a high definition DVD.

I learned from the replies.  I chose disk and chose 720x526.  I now have an iso file.  Now how do I burn a home movie DVD?

I appreciate that you offered an answer.  However, the subject of my ignorance is orthogonal to the suggestion, in that the size of the mp4 file is smaller than 1 GB.  I remain hopeful that I can learn the steps to take after the "save complete" status is achieved.

You may not exceed the specified size for a DVD

To burn at a higher resolution you need to burn to BluRay and PrElements will not do that

You will need to create a video file at the higher resolution and then find BluRay burning software to 'author' and burn the disc

Unfortunately, my description of the issue was not understandably clear.  The mp4 file that I want to be burned to a movie disk is small, by my calculation, although I may be mistaken.  My salient ignorance is what steps to take after reaching the stage indicated by the attached screenshot
