.PREL file size

Premier Elements 2023. Concerned about size of some of my .PREL files I took one of these, deleted all content, resaved and checked new size - no change.

Archived that now empty project and created a Trimmed folder. That folder has pics, movies and music from a totally unrelated project. How has that happened?

This is not normal for Premiere Elements.

 

I don't understand your concern of file size or why you deleted the 'content'.   Without knowing more, my guess is that your changes to the file structure 'confused' Premiere Elements.
