Premier Elements 10 only creates .prel files, won't export. What do I do?

I have premier elements 10. It was loaded onto the computer by HP when I bought the computer. I can't find the serial number and I need to upload the files that will allow me to export videos. My software won't export a file in anything other than .prel.

Any thoughts about how I can download the necessary files?

Use File > Share and choose an export file type, not File > Save

File > Save will save the project file (.prel).
