Premier Elements 2018 stalls out and freezes when rendering recording video to file.

I am using a PC with Windows10 and I am trying to save a video production to a file.  It cruises along and timer is counting down and then about half way through the progress bar freezes and the remaining time counter starts to go up.  Then there is no progress and timer just keeps adding time.  Any ideas or suggestions?
