Premier Elements 2020 video editor won't launch

I am running Premier Elements 2020 version 18.0 (20190827.m.136736) on a Mac OS 10.15.3 and the video editor will no longer launch. I have had it since Dec 2019 but haven't run it in about a month. The application will launch and open the home screen, but the video editor will not launch. Also if I try to launch the app by double clicking on one of the .prel files it will not launch either. Can anyone help?

Reinstall the program.  If that doesn't work, go to Adobe Support and start a "chat" session.   The link is in the lower right corner of this page:  https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html

By the way I found your post because i spend 2hs trying to open video editor and failed to do so

 

i will need to install a open source linux app and start editing there because this is a lost cause
