I have 2022 premier elements. What does the Render button do?

    Actually the Render button on the timeline renders the timeline so that you can get a clean preview of the video. This has nothing to do with the final output of your movie. It merely creates a clean preview and a smooth playback.

     

    When your timeline is rendered, the line along the top of the timeline will be green.

    Hallo, mit dem "rendern" wird das erzeugte Video mit allen Aktionen (Laufzeit, Überblendungen, Einfügungen, etc) fixiert und ausgabefertig für DVD,... abgeschlossen. Selbstverständlich kann man nach dem rendern Dinge ändern, muß aber dann neuerlich rendern.
