Premiere Elements 12 not loading since upgrading to windows 11

Since I upgraded from windows 10 to 11 when opening elements it asks me to sign up to a 30 free trial.

I, therefore, can't access any of my previous projects or create new ones.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Adobe no longer supports versions of the program more than a few versions old. So if you've just re-installed the program on Windows 11, that may be the problem. Adobe isn't initializing version 12 of the program.

You can try right-clicking and selecting Run as Administrator and see if that makes a difference. But no guarantees with a product that's more than a decade old.

Thanks Steve.

Unfortunately your suggestion didn't work as I still get a message wanting me to sign in for the Elements 12 , 30 day trial.

I didn't re-install premiere as it was an upgrade of  Windows 11 and not a clean install.. Would re-installing it work do you think?

Many thanks

If you Run as Administrator and put you activation number in again and it still doesn't work, I'm not sure what to recommend. You used to be able to uninstall/reinstall without losing any work but I'm not sure Adobe would re-activate it.

You can try contacting Adobe Customer Care via chat and see what they recommend. But as I've said, in the past couple of years Adobe has been pretty strict about not supporting old versions of the program.
