Premiere Elements 14 and Windows 10 Anniversary Update

Hi everyone,

I've tried to find answers to my issue but couldn't get some.

I've been using Premiere Elements for around 7-8 months now on Windows 10. Everything was alright. However, since I made the Windwos 10 Anniversary Update a few weeks ago, Premiere Elements 14 started to be vers slow... it's quite annoying for video editing. The video is not smooth at all and even the sound is bad.

Does anyone have the same problem or have a tip?

Thank you!

Fred

Hi Frédéric,

Thanks for posting on the Adobe forums.

Step 1. Hold down the Alt + Ctrl + Shift keys as you click on the icon to open Elements. When asked if you want to delete the settings file, say yes.

Step 2. Reset the preferences as above.

Step 3. Close Elements and let the file regenerate.

Method #2 - Find & Delete Prefs.psp

4) Make sure you can see the hidden files and folders on your computer.

Go to Hidden Files & Folders.

5) Go to My Computer or Computer and follow this path:

C: > Users > [user name] > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > Premiere Elements > x.0 > Editor > Adobe Premiere Elements x.0 Prefs.psp

Hi Sandeep,

Thank you very much for your answer.

The first method does not seem to work. Even if I hold on Alt + Ctrl +Shift, Adobe Premiere Elements starts properly without asking me anything regarding the preferences.

However, following the Method #2, I found a file "Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs" (path: C: > Users > [user name] > AppData > Roaming > Adobe > Premiere Elements

////// WITHOUT going through > x.0 > Editor > , i don't have these).

What should I do with this file? Delete it?

Thank you for your advice.
