Premiere Elements 14 Purchased in 2016 is Now Locking Me Out Telling Me My Trial has Expired

Hi,

In 2016 I purchased the Teacher/Student Version of Premiere Elements 14.

I got 2 activtion codes and installed it on my laptop and desktop.

Unfortunately, recently, the one on my desktop is displaying a "Trial has expired message" and is not letting me proceed with using the software.

I was wondering if anybody has ideas on how I should proceed (I still have the activation codes.).

Thank you

Can I suggest an alternative solution?

Sometimes login files get corrupted and you suddenly start getting messages about your trial being about to expire even though you own the program.

This worked for me: Locate each of these files and change the names of the folders so that the programs will need to recreate them. (Don't delete them, just in case you still need them. Just change their names to OldFiles or something.

I'm assuming you're on Windows 10 or 11:

Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe then rename the SLCache folder.

Users\[YourName}\AppData\Local rename the OOBE folder.

Then launch Premiere Elements by right-clicking and selecting the option to Run as Administrator.

The program should recreate these folders and resolve your issue.

If not, give the folders back their original names. You've got another issue going on.

>2 activtion codes

That is unusual... do you possibly mean that you had a redemption code which you used to get a serial number?

A serial number is 6 groups of 4 digits - all numbers, no letters

Such as 1234-5678-1234-5678-1234-5678

Hi John,

I think you are correct. I had to redemption codes.

In the end, Adobe contacted me directly and after some back and forth was told that since Premiere Elements 14 is no longer supported I am going to need to  purchases the newest version for $79.

Very unfortunate considering I was under the impression that the whole Elements line where 1 time purchases.

That is unusual... so be VERY careful where you give your credit card number

Adobe does NOT do support by email, so beware of answering anyone who sends you a private message

That is true... but a redemption code, which is not the same as a serial number, does have a limited life

Click help... is there an option to enter your serial number to activate the program?

Hi John, I don't seem to have that option.

When I click l"Liscence this software" it brings me to this:

Where I reinput my code but it loops back to the first image.
