Première elements 2018+DNX HD

Hello, I'm using première elements 2018/Windows 10 and it seems impossible to import dnxHD rushes into the timeline. When I do, it stays on the "media pending" screen. It seems impossible as well to export in DNX HD (unknown error message).

I wish to use a proxy workflow (editing with DNX36 rushes and export with DNX185 rushes into a DNX185 master). The Avid LE codec is installed and available in the export screen.... My rushes are recorded on an Atomos recorder.

You could try and change the extension from mxf to mpg.

Hello and thanks for your answers. I tried to change the extension to.mpg (or even to reencapsulate it with shutterencoder) but the problem remains.

It's weird that it's impossible to use dnxHD codec : importing Prores files perfectly works (except it's impossible to make an export to to that format, but it's due to Apple support of Prores on Windows machines)

The best alternative i've found is to work with prores LT proxies and Prores HQ rushes (the recorder can handle Prores too) and then export the editing in uncompressed YUV master.... but it involves using a lot of hard disk space.

I'll try asking to the Adobe Customer care just in case...

Premiere Elements is a consumer video editor. dnxHD is not a format supported by Premiere Elements.

To edit that video you'll need a program like Premiere Pro CC.
