Premiere Elements 2018 Install Error

I get the window stating installation is complete but "some items for the following product could not be installed succesfully". The error summary link says "the site can't be reached".

I don't work for Adobe so what I explain may be wrong. My understanding is that Adobe put most of their products into a subscription service so that their customers always have current operating versions. An exception is the Elements products that are still sold on a one time purchase "perpetual" license. The Adobe policy is to "support" the current and last versions. Older versions will continue run, but if new installations require "support" files from Adobe servers, they may not be there. Nor will Adobe techs provide help. Thanks Bill for your help. I dont feed into the subscription services as I do not use these products all that often, hence the stand alone product. Maybe if they offered some kind of a discount for being a current owner instead of spending another $80 or so. I might upgrade.

The standard price is $100. There is always an upgrade, discounted price for $80. If history holds, there will be pricing around $60 for a few days during the holiday shopping season.
