    Are you sure, Bob? According to the PassMark benchmarks, it rates a 7600, which is certainly enough for editing HD.

    That old 2 Ghz clock speed requirement was based on older single-core processors like Pentiums, I believe.

    Bill may be right about disk space.

    Sorry for your issue. Does it happen with every project? Do you get any error message? What are your computer specifications(RAM, GPU, Processor)?

    Without more information, I would have to guess that the cause is a graphics driver.  It should be updated.  If it is up to date, then "rolling back" a few versions has been known to help.

    If that doesn't work, please tell us your operating system, which processor you have and how much RAM.

    Also, how much free, clean, defragmented space is on your hard drive?

    Also, when you say render, do you mean when you're rendering a timeline preview or when you export & share a movie?
