Premiere Elements 2019 Install Problem

Hello

I just recently purchased Photoshop Elements 2019 & Premiere Elements 2019 hard copies on DVD. I had this problem with the first DVD, had it replaced by vendor thinking it may be a disk problem. However the same problem happens on the second DVD. When I try to install Premiere Elements screen shows it cannot be installed "Error Code: 1". After the first problem I spend over two hours on "Adobe Chat" with no resolution. Is there a resolution to this problem? I know most people download software today, but being old school I still like hard copies. Thanks in advance, sorry this is so long, a bit frustrated!!

    If it were me, I would download a copy from Adobe servers.  What advice did Adobe provide in your chat session?

    That's what they suggested. But I have already paid for the DVD version from best Buy. At the same time I could have downloaded the same through Staples for $30.00 cheaper, but I decided for the DVD version. Looks like a big mistake now. Thanks for your interest.

      So why not download the program from Adobe? After you, what you really paid for was the license. You don't really need to install it from the disk, do you?
