Premiere Elements 2019 - Seamless Zoom - Video

Hi all. Does anyone know if there is a way of achieving a seamless zoom within the video editor?

As an example, I have a video, where during playback I want to seamlessly zoom into a person who is in shot for a few seconds before zooming back out. I would also like to Pan within the same shot.

I'm aware that you can chop the frames up - zoom the image, stay on that shot - chop the shot - and then zoom back out again, but it's not looking that great.

I'm assuming this may be a stretch too far for the software, and it may be one of those things you just have to get right on the source files.

If anyone knows of a trick to do this, I would be grateful for any tips.

If you are familiar with keyframing in Premiere Elements, then this can by done by using Motion and Scale keyframes. The other way to achieve the same is to use the Pan and Zoom tool for the clip. Though this tools is designed to achieve better results for images, it works for videos also. You might need to split the clips first and then use the Pan and Zoom tool to the intended section.
