Question

Premiere Elements 2020 to new computer.

I recently bought a new laptop and loaded Premiere Elements 2020. It works fine when I open a previous project which I have on a separate hard drive. The problem happens when I create a new project. I can save it but when I try to reopen the project I get a crash report. I've updated graphics card drivers, cleared media cash and various other things but no joy. It appears there  must be some form of conflict.

Do not count on Windows to be fully up to date when it comes to device drivers
Go to the vendor site to be sure you have an updated driver for your graphic adapter

AMD/ATI Driver https://www.amd.com/en/support

Can you provide what the crash report says?  A screen shot is best.    Can you describe how you are setting up the project?  Where are the media files, where are the project files and where are the scratch disks?

Hi, Media files are on main C hard drive as are the project files. The project is set up using default settings for new project.

Thanks for the screenshots.  I don't see any clues there.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?  Where did the installation file come from for the new computer?

You need to provide details for anyone to help - I have Premiere Elements 2021.4
See http://www.direct2usales.com/MyPc.txt for an example of what you need to provide... you don't need the same hardware, but you do need to provide computer details... you also need to provide details on the files you are trying to edit
