Premiere Elements 2020 - Total joke!

Hi,

I have been using this software for years and on my latest project the videos play fine on my drive, then when imported to the time line they are jumping, corrupt, not playing....

I have re-installed premier elements and it has done nothing... also updated nvidia card. Nothing.

The videos are just not playing right in many parts... why!!!

If that doesn't do it, there are several other settings we can look at.

My suggestion to change the default audio input.   My contention is that Premiere Elements is a proven performer as it has been for ne for years,  Yours seems to be that it is a "crappy joke".  If you go along with me, I might win!

If any software works well for awhile then suddenly changes in performance, there is certainly a problem!  But, since the software doesn't change, the problem is that something, somewhere changed.

Since you gave few details, we can go one at a time.  What are your settings in Preferences > General > Audio Hardware?  Can you post a screen shot of that page?

Change "Default Input" to None.  For some reason, some computer combinations will struggle with the audio processing while making the realtime previews and it slows the preview performance.  And for some other reason, that setting can change, perhaps with Windows updates.
