Premiere elements 2020 windows 10 Error: this type of file (AVI) is not supported or the required codec is not installed What do I do now?

PRE supports AVI files but there is a possibility your AVI file has a codec that is not supported by PRE. You can download the "Mediainfo" open source tool to get the information about the codec of your file and then search like ". Does PRE support that particular codec"?
