Premiere Elements 2021 Won't Load

I purchased a download version of Premiere Elements 2021 this week.  I was able to install it. But when I try to launch it I get as far as a window that says "Loading PlayerMediaCore.pm" and then it freezes. What should I try to make it work?

    Elements applications crash on launch
