Premiere Elements 2022 crashing upon startup Mac

Hello,

 

I recently purchased the MacBook Pro 2021 which is running MacOS Monterey version 12.5.1

I redownloaded Premiere Photoshop and Premiere Elements 2022 from my previous laptop onto this one. Premiere Photoshop downloaded as normal and is working perfectly fine, but Premiere Elements keeps crashing upon startup.

I have searched all forums on Adobe but cannot seem to find a solution for this particular problem. I have tried restarting my Mac, unistalling and redownloading Premiere Elements from different pages on the Adobe website, and even tried installing Premiere Elements 2021 instead; but the error continues. It does not show an error code or a failure to open report, it just simply disappears from the dock and does not open.

It is driving me insane, please help!

I'd recommend you first contact Adobe Customer Care via chat. They may be able to fix this. We'll most likely just be able to give you general suggestions.

On possible general suggestion is to check Mac file permissions.   Recently Apple made an update to the operating system that caused trouble for users because the update changed the file access permisions.   It might be that the update affected your Premiere Elements like it did for a variety of software programs.
