Premiere elements 2022 nolonger works after adding a fade to clip

Hi.

I was able to "zoom" animate a basic image and it played back ok in the timeline. However, If I do something, like add a fade to the clip, the timeline will not play. It also will not render the clip which is only 112 frames. I was able to save the file but it will not play the animated zoom/scale upon reopening. Timeline can be dragged but no image is shown in the editor window. I had a similar problem when I tried to use the software before this attempt.

I'm using Windows 11, 11th gen Intel 2.4Ghz 4 cores 16gb Ram. I'm not sure what other info for you might need from me.

Hope someone can help. Thanks for your time

Regards,

I'm trying to duplicate your challenge.  I don't think 112 frames is enough for Premiere Elements to do what you want.   When I try it on longer clips I don't have trouble.

Can you explain more about the clip, how you applied the zoom and how you applied the fade.   A screen shot would help.

Hi.

In the meantime I have reinstalled Premiere elements and automated a zoom animation on text. At first I applied a fade and it worked but I tried to add a crossfade and no longer worked. The same problem is there. Thanks for taking a look at it.

I'll look at a screenshot but there is not much to see because everything looks the same
